New Health Rooms
On 15th July 2026 the Exmoor Rural Health Hub new health rooms were officially opened by Stephen Dennis, the south west regional manager for the Farming Community Network (FCN). The bespoke new build was constructed in all weathers by Exmoor Welding between Nov 25/March 26. Trustees raised £110,000 for the construction from a combination of private and public grant givers, generous donations from local businesses and individuals, local fundraising and a match-funding grant from Somerset Council (Rural England Preservation Fund).
Chair of Trustees, Richard Webber hosted an informal buffet for invited guests and benefactors and thanked all who had helped bring this project to fruition, in particular, Peter Huntley and the board of the Exmoor Farmers Livestock Auctions Ltd, for allowing the charity to apply for planning permission on the market site. The new Exmoor Rural Health Hub has three consulting rooms, a reception area and a disabled toilet.
It is the intention of the ERHH Trustees to ensure the long-term success of this initiative which will require continued support, both financially and in person.
Expect more “Big Breakfast” events, cream teas, raffles and auctions!
